Import Taxes ~ We Can Help!
As you are probably aware, international purchases are often subject to extra charges for import taxes and duty. Our customers have told us that this is the least appealing aspect of international shopping. We’ve listened, and we’re here to help you minimize the amount of tax you will pay!
As a general rule, the amount of import tax assessed for a particular parcel is based on the estimated value of the contents. But what many customers don’t know is that for parcels intended as gifts, often the tax rate is much lower, and sometimes even nil. Whether you are having items shipped to your own address or to someone else, if you advise us that your order is a gift, we will be more than happy write “gift” status on the shipping label and declare a low dollar value. In most cases, this is an ideal solution. However, as the policies in some countries vary, if you have specific instructions based on your understanding of your country’s policies, please let us know. For instance, you may specify the dollar value that you wish to have us declare, and we’ll be happy to comply.
